Great jiu jitsu and great people!! Gustavo was so friendly and such a good professor, the academy it’s really clean and organized and people make you feel like home! If I would come back to San Diego definitely will visit again!!
Six Blades Jiu-Jitsu is an amazing academy with excellent facilities and a welcoming atmosphere. I especially want to highlight Professor Gustavo, who made me feel very welcome. Not only does he have high-level jiu-jitsu skills, but he is also a kind-hearted person, always willing to teach and help students improve. I had a great training experience with Professor Gustavo at Six Blades Pacific Beach. Professor and the school were so welcoming and made me feel like home and part of the family. The quality of the training was great! If you are visiting or live in the area, please check out the school. It is a great environment to train and grow your skill in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Very welcoming atmosphere! I’m a white belt from Nebraska and was in town for a wedding, I wanted to get some training in last minute and reached on on Friday and they responded very quickly and got me set up for open mat on a Saturday and a personal on Sunday. A great gym to drop in at if you’re in the area!
We could not recommend this academy more! We have been bringing 2 of our little kids here for almost 2 years and the coaches have become like family to us! Coach Gustavo & Mehgan are the best at not only building little warriors on the mat, but also off the mat. They truly care about the kids becoming champions in all aspects of life; showing up for birthday parties, other sports games, family gatherings, etc. We could not be more thankful that we found this academy and for the way they care for our kiddos!
Just a great place to train! I've practiced martial arts on and off for most of my life, and found myself immediately at home here. Professors Gustavo and Leo live and breathe jujutsu, and have created a great environment, technical, safe and fun. Highly recommended for beginners and experts alike!

The instructors are very knowledgeable, patient, and supportive! Professor Gustavo is an incredible teacher. His attention to detail and ability to break down complex techniques has made learning so much easier for my daughters. He's also incredibly patient and always willing to answer questions. My girls have learned so much! The staff and students are incredibly welcoming. Everyone is supportive of each other, regardless of skill level. It's a great place to learn and grow, both as a martial artist and as a person. The mats are always clean, and the facility is well-equipped with everything you need for training. The membership rates are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the instruction and the facilities. Needless to say we love our Six Blades Family and am sure you will love it to!

We love Professor Gustavo and all the coaches at Six Blades!!! The classes are engaging and challenging. The homework has really helped spark conversations with my son about great values like Respect, Discipline, and Self-Control. All the coaches are kind and earnest. I appreciate that the classes are fun, but the kids are really challenged to pay attention and follow directions. Highly recommend!

We are currently in the program at Six Blades Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and it has been an amazing experience! Professor Gustavo and his team create a welcoming and supportive environment that’s perfect for my 6-year-old daughter. She’s learning essential self-defense skills in their dedicated classes while also developing discipline and confidence. The engaging classes keep kids motivated, and we couldn’t be happier with her progress. Highly recommend!
My Children and my family love the leadership at Six Blades Jiu Jitsu. My kids workout 3 times a week and have chances to test their skills in friendly tournaments. They want to make their coaches and professor proud. It's is an encouraging and empowering environment. Great for all ages but we really love the kids program. My kids have made life long friendships and really look up to higher ranked kids and their coaches. I couldnt be more happy with the location and the easy parking in PB. We love it! ❤️
My daughters started at Six Blades when they were 4 and 3, with no martial arts experience. Professors Gustavo and Maggie immediately made them feel welcome and excited to try new things. Each leader’s patience level is incredible, I have learned so much about interacting with children by watching them. Also, having three daughters, I appreciate how there are male and female instructors, each with their own strengths and relationship with the kids. Couldn’t recommend Six Blades more…has changed my family for the better.

I have dropped by Six Blades Pacific Beach several times. Always welcomed and treated like family I trained with them at a weeknight class and have attended open mats.
Every person I encountered was welcoming and were great to train with. I have come to expect this from anyone that trains under the lineage of Saulo and Xande Ribeiro. I have trained at Six Blades La Quinta for years with the same quality instruction, clean facility, and friendly atmosphere.
Time with Professor Gus and Professor Leo was productive and I left with some pointers and details to help my game.

My kids do the age4-6 class MWF in the afternoons and I am so impressed with and grateful for Professor Gustavo and his team of coaches as well as the gym facilities.
